"Gran Reserva" indicates a Rioja that has spent longer time aging in a barrel and in the bottle than the "lower" levels of Rioja. This one is full-bodied and has barely begun to develop - it still has bright fruit and tannins with higher acidity. Serve with meats or hold for 5+ years.
